Alena Kretzberg is a Partner at McKinsey & Company and member of the firm's global Business Technology Office with a strong link to the IT Architecture Practice and the European Banking Practice. Alena works with financial institutions on delivering value via large-scale IT transformations.
Alena received a diploma in finance and information systems from the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany, and a bachelor's degree in science (with a major in computer science) from James Madison University, Virginia, USA. During her time at McKinsey, she took educational leave to complete a doctorate in economics at WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar, Germany.
Alena works part-time and enjoys spending as much time as possible with her three children Tim (6), Ben (3), and Mia (0) in her garden at home, at the playground or zoo, or at the beach on vacation. She also enjoys sailing, diving, skiing, and golf.
Alexey Kalinogorskiy is a Senior Business Analyst in McKinsey & Company’s Moscow office, and a member of the firm’s global Business Technology Office. Alexey works with banking, retail, and public sector clients on delivering value by increasing operational efficiency and running IT transformations.
Alexey received an MA in international business from the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University. During his studies, he completed exchange semesters in FGV (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and LSE (London, the UK).
Alexey likes traveling and sports, so you can find him surfing in Bali, running a marathon in Paris, or snowboarding somewhere in the Alps.
Christian Burger is a Senior Associate at McKinsey & Company in Zurich, Switzerland, and a member of McKinsey's Business Technology Office. He first joined McKinsey as an intern in 2011 and then, a few months later, as a Fellow Analyst.
Christian primarily serves major telecommunications, technology, and high-tech companies on strategy, organization/governance, and operations topics in Europe, the US, and South Africa. Before joining McKinsey, he ran his own IT start-up and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
In his spare time, Christian enjoys traveling, spending time with friends from all over the world, and playing sports (running, skiing, mountain biking, diving). He also likes to be up to date with the latest developments in his favorite TV shows (e.g., Suits, Person of Interest, and White Collar).
Christian Stüer is an Associate Principal with McKinsey & Company's Business Technology Office in Munich, Germany. He joined the firm in July 2008. Christian serves clients in financial institutions and supports them in shaping their digital journey.
Before joining McKinsey, Christian studied business information systems in Regensburg, Germany, and completed an MBA at the IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.
In his spare time, he loves to capture the world with his camera, discover the underwater world, and try new technical gadgets.
Evgeny Ustinov is an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company's Business Technology Office in Moscow and Johannesburg. He joined the firm in April 2013. Evgeny is developing McKinsey's Digital Practice and focuses on financial institutions and the telecommunications industry. He is leading large digitally enabled transformation projects in corporations across various countries, from Russia to South Africa.
Evgeny is holding a PhD in economics from Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation. He is also a certified management accountant.
Before joining the firm, Evgeny was a senior manager in other global management consulting companies. Prior to working in a management function, he worked at the biggest Russian telecommunications corporation, managing subsidiaries and solving challenging transformational tasks for more than five years. Evgeny was CEO of a small insurance company running it for three years.
Evgeny enjoys water sports such as sailing and rowing. He is part of the McKinsey rowing club in Moscow. He also loves spending his time traveling with his family and doing a lot of hiking and mountaineering.
Kaifeng Kang is an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company’s Business Technology Office in London. He joined McKinsey as a Business Analyst in October 2006.
Kaifeng has served a variety of clients in banking, healthcare, metals and mining, telecommunications, and other industries in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Recently, he has mainly served clients in financial services in the areas of digital transformation and customer-centric redesign of consumer experiences.
Kaifeng holds an MBA from London Business School and a master of engineering from Cambridge University.
In his spare time, Kaifeng enjoys traveling and sampling food around the world.
Laura Boege is a Senior Recruiter at McKinsey & Company and member of the firm's global Business Technology Office.
Laura has about eight years of experience in executive search internationally as well as across various industries and functional areas. Before joining McKinsey, Laura worked for Kienbaum in Amsterdam and Carmichael Fisher in London. During this time, she developed an extensive recruiting expertise with regard to clients across Europe and the US. Laura is a German native speaker and fluent in Dutch and English.
Despite having lived in London for two years now, Laura still very much enjoys discovering the city both culturally and culinary. Besides, she is keen to extend her language skills and is learning yet another language.
Matteo Morici is an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company and a member of the firm’s global Business Technology Office. His main professional focus is on banking, and he is part of the transaction banking service line. His work is mostly focused on IT and operations, supporting projects related to process redesign and digitization. Matteo has also participated in projects for several other industries, including basic materials, fashion and apparel, telecom, and high tech.
Matteo received a BA in business administration and an MSc in organization and information systems from the Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. He also completed an MBA at ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.
During his free time, Matteo loves to spend time with his family as much as possible. He is a passionate foodie and also loves cooking. Matteo loves sports, in particular basketball, and he is a passionate motor biker.
Michele Ambrogini is an Engagement Manager based in McKinsey and Company’s Dubai office. He helps clients on a wide range of topics including operations and technology and large-scale program management, mostly focusing on the banking and telco industries. He previously worked in the Milan office serving our European clients.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Michele was a Senior Consultant at Reply, where he specialized in financial institutions, focusing on wealth management, and participated in important strategic initiatives for major commercial and private banks.
Michele studied computer engineering at the University of Pisa and his main hobbies are playing tennis, reading, and travelling.
Philipp Torka is an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company and a member of the firm’s global Business Technology Office. Philipp mostly works with industrial clients and public sector institutions on large-scale IT transformations and software development projects.
Philipp received a Diplom Informatiker degree (MSc equivalent in computer science) from the Technische Universität München in Munich, Germany. During his time at McKinsey, he has taken educational leave to complete a doctorate in computer science from the Technische Universität München.
Philipp works part time and enjoys spending three months off per year, usually with a good mixture of traveling around the world, supporting nonprofit initiatives, and relaxing at home. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, music, and everything Munich has to offer.
Quirin Scheitle is a Fellow Senior Associate with McKinsey & Company's Business Technology Office (BTO) in Munich, Germany. He joined the firm in November 2012.
Quirin has a background in electrical engineering and worked in various IT roles before joining the BTO. He has worked on a wide range of BTO- and IT-related operations topics with clients in energy, logistics, raw materials, and banking in Europe, Southeast Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
In his spare time, he enjoys sports, particularly snowboarding, mountain biking, soccer, and volleyball.
Roman Maresov is a Senior Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company and member of the firm's global Business Technology Office. The main focus of his client work lies on the telecommunications industry, especially large-scale performance transformations including cost reduction for tech and IT functions, organizational development, and sales strategy.
Roman graduated from Moscow State University with a double degree as a specialist in mathematics and a bachelor's in management administration. Before joining McKinsey, he worked in the assurance department at Ernst & Young.
Roman enjoys spending his free time with friends and family. He is also a passionate supporter of soccer and has been a big FC Spartak Moscow fan for the past 15 years.
Stephanie Pratsch is a Senior Associate in McKinsey & Company's office in Munich, Germany. Since joining the firm in 2010, she has served clients in various industries, including logistics, the energy sector, and the financial services industry.
Before joining McKinsey, Stephanie earned two master's degrees in international management and marketing (University of St.Gallen) and an honor's degree in technology management (Technical University of Munich and UC Berkeley). During her educational leave, she completed a doctorate in negotiations funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (a scholarship via the Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung).
In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys Munich's cultural, athletic, and culinary offerings. She unwinds by traveling, sailing, and practicing yoga. One of her secret passions is interior design.
Theresia Schedler joined McKinsey at the beginning of 2009. After having supported a number of Partners and Directors in Munich and London, she began working in May 2015 as a Junior Recruiter in McKinsey's Business Technology Office (BTO) in Frankfurt. Prior to joining the firm, Theresia studied international management in Munich.
Her responsibilities include, among other things, organizing seminars and conferences, preparing details for interview days, as well as supporting the candidate selection for the BTO.
In her free time, Theresia often travels to her home region of Bayern, where she enjoys the nature and friendliness of the area. She is also an avid runner and enjoys spending quality time with friends over a Latte Macchiato.
Timo Mauerhoefer is a Fellow Senior Associate in McKinsey & Company’s Business Technology Office in Frankfurt, Germany. He joined McKinsey in February 2013.
To date, Timo has served financial institutions in the UK, Nordic countries, Germany, and Austria. He works on various topics, including operations, IT transformation, and corporate strategy. Before joining McKinsey, Timo studied electrical engineering at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany, and in the UK.
He is currently on educational leave in order to pursue a doctorate in business administration from RWTH Aachen. In his spare time, he likes doing CrossFit, playing soccer, traveling, and hanging out with friends.
